She was not comfortable with the circular needles so we used the straight metal needles. Our problem is she has to hold her knitting up and close to her eyes and we haven't found a way she can hold the needles while keeping some tension on the yarn. Do you have any suggestions. Thank you so much for your help.

Pat Walters
paw1028@charter.netAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8726712.post-1137627016254541962006-01-18T18:30:00.000-05:002006-01-18T18:30:00.000-05:00I found you on the internet while looking for info...I found you on the internet while looking for information on teaching a blind person to knit. I help with a needlework group in a cancer center. While there knitting today, a lady came in and asked if we could teach her to knit - I didn't hesitate - I said of course! Now I'm looking for ideas/hints on what is the best way to this so I'll be ready to help get her started when she comes back. Thank you for any suggestions you may have.

My e-mail address is paw1028@charter.netAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8726712.post-1136913789205289962006-01-10T12:23:00.000-05:002006-01-10T12:23:00.000-05:00Glad to see you writing again!Glad to see you writing again!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8726712.post-1136573184017145202006-01-06T13:46:00.000-05:002006-01-06T13:46:00.000-05:00So glad to know KAW is inspiring, but then, I'm th...So glad to know KAW is inspiring, but then, I'm the one who reeled you in! :) Can't wait to hear how you manage lace knitting in the dark...as a committed lace knitter (even if a newbie!) and one with visual challenges, you are my guide in this!
